Use case:
Digitalization in the hospital. Connection of a modern medical technology device to the hospital IT system via HL7® interface
Medical field:
Medical technology and interoperability
Technologies:
7connect, NEXUS / KIS, TMS-System

Project description

Integration of the MAG & More system for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) via HL7® to the NEXUS / KIS system using the solution from softgate – 7connect. The project took place at Vinzenz von Paul Hospital in Rottweil.

The appointment series for the sessions is managed within the nexus/HIS. The appointments, including all subsequent changes, are transferred to the TMS system via HL7®. After each completed treatment, the system transmits the treatment parameters back to the HIS via HL7® both as a PDF report and numerical values.

Appointments and treatment data from the system can be viewed in the HIS at any time.  Appointments can be adjusted centrally and treatment progress can be tracked by specialist staff without manual maintenance.

Benefits:

Patients and medical doctors :

  • Planning and documentation of treatments are always up-to-date in NEXUS / HIS and synchronized with MAG & More’s TMS system.

Device manufactures and hospitals:

  • The use of 7connect has made integration much easier for MAG & More GmbH. The system openness of NEXUS enables the smooth integration of specialized solutions and facilitates the path to digitalized patient care for hospitals.

Kundenfeedback:

“7connect has been stable since the first released version. The comprehensive support of the development and integration projects by softgate was very helpful in implementing the integration quickly and without errors”
